Tourist Information Centres are located in all towns and villages along
the river corridor. In most cases these facilities are within easy walking
distance from water access points.
Look for rectangular roadside signs that depict a large question
mark (?) to direct you to the nearest centre. In Kingston look for tourist
information in Confederation Park, located across from City Hall. In
Gananoque, tourist information can be found in the waterfront Historic
Village, at the municipal marina, and on King Street beside the bridge
over the Gananoque river. In the Ivy Lea area, a tourist information
and welcome centre is located directly across from Ivy Lea Campground,
on the 1000 Islands Parkway just west of the 401 access ramp. In Brockville,
tourist information is available at Blockhouse Island, a short walk
or paddle east of the paddling access points.
