Several public and private camping facilities in the Thousand Islands
for visitors to enjoy.
Island camping is available at sites on Cedar (4), Milton (3), Beaurivage (8), Aubrey (8), McDonald (11), Gordon (5), Mulcaster (2), Camelot (6), Georgina (2), Grenadier (north 2, south 17, east 3) and Stovin (2) Islands. There is no reservation system, campsites are first-come, first-serve. The island camping fee is $13 dollars per night for each site, with a maximum of two tents per site. Those kayaking to the islands for day use, or overnight, a beaching, docking (day or overnight) fee is charged. Those that wish to camp can pay the $13.00 per night camping fee. As long you bring your kayak adjacent to the campsite you do not have to pay a docking fee. If you beach your vessel, or use any part of the dock, then fees apply.

Premium waterfront camping is available at Ivy Lea Campground, located on the 1000 Islands Parkway near the International Bridge at exit 648 and 685 of highway 401. A sandy beach, docking facilities and activity centres with weekly programming await. The facilities include: 83 regular, 33 electrical, 9 premium waterfront, 12 recreational vehicle, 8 wilderness campsites. A swimming area and boat launch provide ample water access for paddlers. The campgrounds are open from mid May to the end of September. A large sandy beach, pleasant mix of shaded and open picnic areas and several playing fields, beckon you to spend the afternoon! Group camping requests may be accommodated. Overnight camping on Black Charlie, McCoy, Cockburn, De Rottenburgh, and Sparrow Islands is on a first come, first serve basis. A $17.25 (+GST) fee applies to overnight camping facilities, which operate from May 15 to September 15. Website
