The river begins to narrow east of Grenadier Island, slowly funneling river travelers towards the Brockville Narrows. On its way east the waters pass the ominous form of Jorstadt Castle on Dark Island, busy bird colony at Ice Island, serenity of Jones Creek and sandstone bluffs along the northern riverbank. Take some time to visit the sites along the way to enjoy this place of fantastic history.
